About Me
About Me
I grew up as an Army Brat, traveling all over the world with my father who always had 4 or 5 cameras with him. Following in my father’s footsteps, I joined the Air Force when I was 19 and continued my travels around the US and the world. (My parents should never have nicknamed me..”Gypsy” because I certainly have lived up to that name.) I’ve lived in Germany twice, been to France and Italy and all the lower 48 states. I started painting while living in Germany the second time around. Since then I’ve dabbled in watercolors, acrylics pastels (my favorite), oils, pencil and colored pencil.
In 2002, I met my husband Tom, who is a truck driver. We were married in 2003, and I joined him on the road full-time in 2004 as his co-driver. Unable to paint in the truck, I developed an interest and passion for photography and purchased a small Fuji Fine-pix camera…. I was off and running! I wasn’t satisfied for long with just a point and shoot so I purchased a DSLR. I also developed a strong desire to learn everything I could about photography.
So today, with my several cameras, numerous lenses, filters, tripods, etc and my husband (a very understanding man who doesn’t complain about the weight of the equipment, the number of lenses or cameras), I continue to travel the US and Canada where I am enjoying the opportunity to capture these vast and spectacular vistas. I hope you will join me on my continuing journey as I post new work.
Update:
We’ve retired from the road to Oklahoma, where I plan to explore all the wonderful things available in this state. We are building our own house, out of shipping containers (see:
When I am not building websites or painting walls and cabinets in the containers, I will endeavor to go out and visit some of the places on my list. Which I will attempt to do justice in my blog.
I have also joined the local photography group,
Muskogee Shutterbugs Camera Club. We meet monthly and have competitions and outings to different places around the area, which ties in with “My Bucket List” of things to do and see in Oklahoma. My Bucket List

Web Design
Dr. David Jones, is a dentist in the Muskogee, Ok area. He had a website up, but decided he needed a complete redesign. He happens to be a member of the Muskogee Shutterbugs Camera Club, as am I. I redesigned the Shutterbug website first, a few weeks later, I redesigned ‘Dr. J’s’ website.
